Biography

As a behavioural scientist and Implementation science specialist, I am passionate about driving change in healthcare that delivers equitable evidence-based practice to people with cancer, ultimately improving outcomes and experiences of patients. Placed within the health services department in Australia’s largest Comprehensive Cancer Hospital my work has focused on operationalizing implementation science frameworks in cancer care, engaging consumers in research, and embedding these processes in a way that improves implementation outcomes and delivers practice change.

My current research spans driving change in the implementation of Advance Care Planning, leading the design of implementation strategies to deliver new models of care that address equity care-gaps, and adapting implementation strategies to be inclusive of underserved populations.

My earlier research also focused on improving the experiences of people with rare cancers. I have led translationally focused research identifying the unique experiences and unmet needs of patients diagnosed with rare cancers, with the aim of improving supportive care for people who are underserviced because of their diagnosis.
