The Parkville Cancer Clinical Trials Unit was established in 2016, from the cancer clinical trials units of Peter Mac, Royal Melbourne and the Women’s. We are Australia's largest cancer clinical trials unit: 

  • Over 110 staff members and 70 investigators 
  • Over 180 open and recruiting and 190 active / follow-up trials 
  • Recruiting 550 patients yearly
  • 10 cancer stream teams specialising in haematology, solid cancers, theranostics and palliative care 
  • Specialised experience and expertise in first in human and complex clinical trials 
  • Dedicated treatment area and facilities 

Located in the Parkville Precinct, we deliver a Precinct service with premier results:

Dedicated clinical trial treatment area including: 

  • 15 high care treatment chairs 
  • 4 overnight night beds (24-hour telemetry capacity) 
  • Contained GMO injecting area 
  • Central pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics processing lab 
  • Electronic medical record, electronic investigator site file, providing offsite monitoring
