We have developed a patient guide: Wominjeka Cancer care at Peter Mac. We developed this Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cancer information guide by working with:
- The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Committee
- First Nations patients
This guide highlights available services for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples. It includes information on:
- The importance of discharge planning
- Keeping appointments
- How to provide us with feedback
What we do
We supply cancer information about:
- Preventing cancer
- Detecting cancer early
- How we test for cancer
- A range of cancer support service information
Patient resources are also available in the information lounge found on Level 2.
Support is also available through the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health service.
