CANCER CARE AT PETER MAC
Peter Mac has worked collaboratively with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Committee and First Nations patients to develop a patient guide: Wominjeka. Cancer care at Peter Mac.
This guide highlights available services for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and includes information on the importance of discharge planning, keeping appointments and how to provide feedback to Peter Mac.
What we do
We provide cancer information that we have developed with help from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We have information about preventing cancer, detecting cancer early, how we test for cancer and a range of cancer support service information.
Patient resources are also available in the information lounge located on Level 2.
Support is also available through our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health service.
