Melanoma Research Victoria (MRV) is a collaborative research project working towards improving outcomes for melanoma patients.
MRV was formerly known as the Melbourne Melanoma Project, which began in 2010. Professor Grant McArthur is the Chief Investigator of the multisite project which has become an excellent resource for melanoma researchers. Over 2500 patients have enrolled in the MRV study. Their generosity in providing clinical data, bio-specimens, QOL data and Medicare/PBS data has enabled numerous studies across several disciplines to be conducted. The project has its own Consumer Reference Group (CRG) which is available to assist with consumer feedback and project reviews.
