Prof Trevor Leong

Gastrointestinal Cancers

Biography

Professor Trevor Leong is a Consultant Radiation Oncologist and past Director of Radiation Oncology at Peter Mac. He qualified from Melbourne University and completed his specialist training at Peter Mac in 1997. He then completed a laboratory-based Doctorate at the University of Melbourne in 2003. Professor Leong holds Professorial appointments at the University of Melbourne and at Monash University.

He is President of the Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG), and a Board Director of the Australasian Gastrointestinal Trials Group (AGITG). Professor Leong is an active clinician researcher who is involved in both translational research programs as well as clinical research. He is internationally recognized as a leader in the management and research of gastrointestinal cancers including oesophageal, gastric, pancreatic and colorectal cancer.
