Biography
Professor Trevor Leong is a consultant radiation oncologist at Peter Mac. He qualified from Melbourne University and completed his specialist training at Peter Mac in 1997. He then completed a laboratory-based Doctorate at the University of Melbourne in 2003. Professor Leong holds Professorial appointments at the University of Melbourne and at Monash University.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Australasian Gastrointestinal Trials Group (AGITG), and is a member of the Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG) Scientific Committee. He is an active clinician researcher who is involved in both translational research programs as well as clinical research. Professor Leong is internationally recognized as a leader in the management and research of gastrointestinal cancers including oesophageal, gastric, pancreatic and colorectal cancer.
