Nurse coordinator for gynaecalogy oncology

Biography

In February 2014, Nicole returned to the role of project manager for the Australian Cancer Survivorship Centre. Nicole is also a Nurse Coordinator for the Gynaecology Oncology Service at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne.

Nicole’s portfolio for the Australian Cancer Survivorship Centre includes health care professional and consumer education, implementation of survivorship initiatives in the clinical setting, and development of health professional and consumer survivorship resources and tools. 

Nicole is a senior cancer nurse with clinical, leadership and management, and research backgrounds both in Australia and overseas. Most recently Nicole was a lead reviewer for the evaluation of the Victorian Cancer Survivorship Program and co-authored the Supporting cancer survivors in Victoria 2011-2014 report. Learning from the Victorian Cancer Survivorship Program pilot projects’.

Nicole is committed to improving the outcomes for patients diagnosed with cancer and their families during and after treatment. Her dual roles allow her to implement survivor care recommendations in the clinical setting.
