Madlyn Connelly is a Speech Pathologist in the Nutrition and Speech Pathology Department at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. After graduating La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Masters of Speech Pathology in 2013, she worked as a Speech Pathologist and clinical educator in public services across the continuum of care. She has experience working with head and neck cancer, both within the acute and outpatient setting. She is also part of the multidisiplinary team at Voice Therapy, within their voice, swallow and upper airway clinic.
Madlyn’s research interests include the effect of radiotherapy on voice and laryngeal sensitivity in cancer survivors, as well as the impact of telehealth on the voices of health professionals. She continues to develop her clinical skills by participating in ongoing professional development.
She is a national board member of the Australian Voice Association and proud member of Speech Pathology Australia, Laryngology Association of Australasia, and Victorian branch of the Head and Neck Special Interest Group.
