Biography
Miss Anita Skandarajah is a breast and endocrine surgeon at the Peter Mac Callum Cancer Centre and, in addition, is appointed at The Royal Melbourne and The Royal Womens Hospitals. She is a senior lecturer in the Department of Surgery at The University of Melbourne and supervises postgraduate research students. Miss Skandarajah completed a Doctor of Medicine degree at the Joint Proteomics Laboratory of The Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research evaluating the role of proteomics in the discovery of plasma biomarkers. Miss Skandarajah completed her post-fellowship training at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Hôpital La Timone inMarseille, France and at The Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College, London, UK.
Miss Skandarajah specialises in the management of women at high risk of developing breast cancer and in thyroid cancer.
