Matt O’Keefe

Biography

Matt is a partner in KPMG’s Technology Consulting practice, leads KPMG’s Asia Pacific Cyber practice, and focuses on the Banking, Wealth Management and Superannuation sectors. 

Matt has been with KPMG for more than 25 years, a partner for more than 15 years, and has held a number of other KPMG leadership roles.  He has more than 25 years’ experience with boards and senior management in relation to their strategic and operational technology issues, including: technology assurance and consulting, project management and governance, technology governance, IT strategy and performance, IT audit and cyber security. 

Matt was Chairman of the Victorian Association for the Care and Resettlement of Offenders (VACRO) for 7 years and on the Board for 10 years, with responsibility for the leadership, organisation and execution of the governance activities of the Board.

Matt is currently a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and has also worked with other community organisations, including Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA).  Matt was selected and graduated from the 2008 Leadership Victoria (LV) Williamson Community Leadership program.

BCom, MCom, GDipAdvAcc, Certified Information Systems Auditor, PRINCE2 practitioner
