Dr Sophie Nightingale

Dr Sophie Nightingale is a specialist Breast and General Surgeon at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in the Breast Service. Dr Nightingale is also appointed as a General Surgeon, including breast and melanoma surgery, at Western Health. Dr Nightingale completed her general surgical training in New Zealand and Australia during which time, she also completed her Masters of Surgery at The University of Melbourne. She undertook a Fellowship year in surgical oncology at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

Dr Nightingale has an interest in onco-plastic breast surgery and is involved in the management of women with a high risk of breast cancer at the Familial Cancer Centre. Dr Nightingale is also passionate about exercise and its health benefits, especially in cancer patients and survivors.
