Biography
As a practising data scientist, Dr. Jason Li leads the Bioinformatics Core Facility at Peter Mac to provide data analysis services to cancer researchers.
The core facility houses a team of bioinformaticians, software engineers and data scientists to provide consulting and analysis services to internal laboratories, perform collaborative cancer biology researches, and develop and maintain computational pipelines to process high-throughput sequencing data. Jason’s expertise lies in explorative analysis of novel data sets, and the analysis of large-scale genomics data derived from high-throughput sequencing/microarray experiments and the public domain.
Jason has received two Peter Mac Cancer Foundation Grants to carry out computational researches in DNA copy number analysis and the prediction of cancer survival outcome using multi-omic variables.
Jason has trained up multiple young scientists via the UROP program and supervision to postgraduate students.
