Peter Mac Nutrition and Dietetics services are available at the Melbourne, Moorabbin and Box Hill campuses.

Nutrition at Peter Mac’s Sunshine and Bendigo campuses are managed by Western Health and Bendigo Health, respectively. If you require a referral to a dietitian, please discuss this with your doctor or nurse.
Peter Mac Melbourne campus
Nutrition and dietetic services are provided in the following settings at the Melbourne campus:
- Inpatient wards
- Specialist clinics alongside medical, nursing and other allied health clinicians
- Day therapy unit, including the chemotherapy day unit
- Radiotherapy centre
In addition, nutrition and dietetic services are part of the following allied health multidisciplinary services:
Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) clinic
PEG clinic is an outpatient clinic that runs on a Wednesday afternoon specifically for patients who are either being considered for a PEG insertion, require PEG replacement or removal, or have any issues with their PEG tube.
Allied Health Optimisation clinic
Optimisation clinic is an outpatient clinic that runs on a Thursday morning specifically for patients who require at least two members of the Allied Health team (dietitian, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, and psychologist). The clinic provides individualised care for up to 8 weeks to manage symptoms such as weight loss, fatigue, reduced activity and low mood.
Allied Health COACH prehabilitation program
Nutrition and dietetic services are available for patients before, during and after treatment at Peter Mac and are available Monday to Friday, with an on-call service on weekends. If you think you need to see a dietitian, speak to your doctor or nurse and they can provide a referral for you.

Peter Mac Moorabbin campus
Nutrition and dietetic services are provided in the outpatient setting at the Moorabbin radiotherapy campus. If you are receiving radiotherapy at Moorabbin, a dietitian is available Monday to Friday to assist you with your nutrition needs. If you think you need to see a dietitian, speak to your doctor or nurse and they can provide a referral for you.

Peter Mac Box Hill campus
Nutrition and dietetic services are provided in the outpatient setting at the Box Hill radiotherapy campus. If you are receiving radiotherapy at Box Hill, a dietitian is available on a Friday to assist you with your nutrition needs. If you think you need to see a dietitian, speak to your doctor or nurse and they can provide a referral for you.
