What you’ll need

You’ll need a reasonably up-to-date device (computer, iPad, tablet or smart phone) and internet with the Chrome browser or the Healthdirect App to take part in a Video Call. This could be in your home, with your local doctor or elsewhere.

To take part in a telehealth video call with Peter Mac using your desktop or android device, you will need:

  • A reasonably up-to-date computer, tablet or smart phone
  • A webcam, mic and speakers (built in or plug in)
  • Reasonable internet
  • Up-to-date Google Chrome installed

An easy way to check if your computer and internet is sufficient is to do a test call. You can do this any time. No one will pick up your call.

Telehealth for iPhone or iPad

To take part in a telehealth video call with Peter Mac using your iPhone or iPad, you will need:

  • A reasonably up-to-date iPhone or iPad
  • A webcam, mic and speakers (built in or plug in)
  • Reasonable internet
  • The Healthdirect app available from iTunes store

We recommend a private, quiet and well lit room. As your medical information will be discussed, we recommend not utilizing telehealth in public areas such as cafe's. Sometimes it might be better for you to go to your local doctor and include them in the telehealth consultation.
