Prostate Cancer Program

The Prostate Cancer Program is new to Peter Mac, and aims to answer significant questions that arise at diagnosis and during treatment of men with prostate cancer.

Research in this program includes, but is not limited to:

  • Which tumours are aggressive (versus indolent) and put men at high risk of progressing to aggressive disease?
  • What features predict tumour progression?
  • What treatments can prolong and improve patient survival?

The program uses patient specimens and clinically relevant models of prostate cancer, to provide practise-changing outcomes to benefit men with prostate cancer.
