Conducted within Cancer Experiences Research, the aim of this project is to explore the treatment of complex wounds in the community from a cancer nursing perspective.
Specifically the study aims to:
- Explore the experiences and perspectives, of outpatient nurses caring for cancer patients with complex wounds in the community.
- Identify the challenges and clinical issues that nurses are faced with when managing complex wounds in the community, and how they overcame these.
Findings will be used to make recommendations to inform existing organisational guidelines to promote optimal community nursing practices in complex wound care management.
