Peter Mac's Office of Cancer Research is delighted to announce the clinician researchers who have been awarded the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation Discovery Partner Fellowships for 2019.
Please join us in congratulating the following recipients:
Dr Grace Kong: Improving outcomes of patients with metastatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms (NEN) with 177Lu-somatostatin analogue Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT)
Dr Arian Lasocki: The use of MRI to provide novel insights into the biology of primary and secondary central nervous system tumours
Dr Ben Tran: Developing a circulating biomarker aimed at detecting teratoma in post chemotherapy residual masses in chemotherapy treated advanced non-seminomatous testicular germ cell tumours (CIRCUIT)
The three year Fellowships provide significant financial support to clinician-researchers at early or mid-career stage, allowing the awardees to set aside research-dedicated time to complete well-planned research projects.
Previously known as the Peter Mac Clinician Researcher Fellowships, the Foundation Discovery Partner Fellowships were named in recognition and appreciation of the Victorian philanthropic community, with the funding coming from donors who make a regular monthly donation through the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation.
This year’s recipients were selected following a thorough evaluation process, and bring the total number of Foundation-supported clinical research fellows to 13 over three rounds of the scheme.
We congratulate the 2019 Foundation Discovery Partner Fellows and wish them well in their research endeavours.
