Men's Shed presents...Look Good Feel Better for Men

Every month the Men's Shed presents a guest speaker to discuss a topic of interest with our patients, friends and family online or in person when appropriate.

Come along each month to connect with others, share experiences and hear from guest speakers.

This group will give you an opportunity to:

  • Hear from guest speakers and learn from our experts,
  • Learn about what's coming up at in the Peter Mac Men's Shed,
  • Meet and connect with other people going through similar cancer experiences,
  • Share information, experiences and interests, and seek support or referrals to services and programs if needed.

Topic:​​​​​ Look Good Feel Better for Men
When: Thursday 29 September 2022, 2:00pm – 3:00pm
Where: This session will be held ONLINE ONLY 
Who: Patients, family members, carers and support people are all welcome

Look Good Feel Better is a free national community service program, run by the Cancer Patients Foundation, dedicated to teaching cancer patients how to manage the appearance-related side-effects caused by cancer treatment.  

This virtual workshop will cover:

  • Exercise and nutrition with lymphoedema physiotherapist and ESSA accredited exercise physiologist, Jen McKenzie,
  • Skincare, scalp care and nail-care with Look Good Feel Better facilitator, Ian Turnnidge.

You will need:

  • A reliable internet connection
  • A web-cam (if your computer or tablet doesn’t have a built-in camera)
  • Speakers and a microphone (or a tablet or telephone with a speaker)
  • A well-lit room
