Helping you navigate Peter Mac’s wellbeing services
01 October 2024
Peter Mac is making it easier to navigate Wellbeing Centre services with a brand-new role, the Wellbeing Centre Concierge.
The position will be the face of the centre, welcoming visitors and connecting them with the many programs on offer including meditation, oncology massage, education sessions, support groups, art therapy and men’s shed.
Acting Director of Patient Experience and Wellbeing, James Fowler, said the Concierge role will ensure Peter Mac “maintains the respectful, caring, and compassionate nature of the wellbeing centre”.
“We know navigating cancer treatment and all the services that go along with it can be challenging,” James explains.
“We’re streamlining the process with our new concierge, our Patient and Carer Support Service, and a new booklet, to provide a more personalised service to help ensure patients, carers, and family members receive the right support at the right time.”
“We’re so excited to welcome our new concierge, Phoebe Rizzoli, to the team this week, to assist the more than 650 patients, carers and family members who use the centre every week.”
The Wellbeing Centre Concierge will be available from Monday to Friday, between 9:30 am – 2:30 pm. The centre is open 9am – 4pm.
New Wellbeing Centre Booklet
A new Wellbeing Booklet has also been developed outlining all the wellbeing services available to Peter Mac patients, carers and family members.
It is a comprehensive guide that aims to empower patients, families and carers with skills to help manage life with cancer and navigate their experience. The booklet is an action from the Patient Experience Strategic Plan and something consumers told us was important.
Download a copy of the booklet or pop into the Wellbeing Centre to pick up a hard copy.
