Radiotherapy eLearning is committed to protecting your privacy and has strict practices in place to ensure your privacy is maintained, which comply with applicable privacy legislation.

This Privacy Policy applies to each of the www.radiotherapy.edu.au and www.radiotherapy.acrobat.com websites (“Websites”).


Information for statistical purposes


Unless the Websites ask for specific personal information, Radiotherapy eLearning will only collect information relating to your use of the Websites for statistical purposes to assist Radiotherapy eLearning in improving users’ experience of the Websites. Such information may include
  • the date and time of your visit;
  • the pages accessed and documents downloaded;
  • the referring site; and
  • the type of browser you are using.

Reporting of Radiation Oncology Professionals’ educational achievement to employers and professional bodies


The Websites have in large part been designed as a resource to support continuing professional development for Radiation Oncology Professionals and Victorian Radiation Oncology providers. As such, Radiation Oncology Professionals who have registered with the Websites and who access the learning management system and educational content housed within radiotherapy.acrobat.com may be subject to the automated reporting of the progression and completion of training modules for record-keeping at individual Victorian Radiation Oncology providers. These providers and locations are subject to change without notice, but currently include:
  • Alfred Hospital - Prahran & Traralgon
  • Austin Health - Ballarat & Heidelberg
  • Barwon Health - Geelong
  • Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre - Bendigo, Box Hill, East Melbourne, Moorabbin, Richmond & Sunshine
  • Radiation Oncology Victoria - East Melbourne, Epping, Footscray, Frankston, Ringwood & Wodonga
Additionally where a Radiation Oncology Professional is a member of the Australian Institute of Radiography (AIR), the peak body for professionals who work in Radiation Therapy, progression and completion may be reported to the AIR for the purposes of recording mandatory continuing professional development credits. Other professional bodies may be included in the automated reporting process without notice.
Registration with the Websites will be taken as consent to such reporting processes.


Specific requests for personal information


If the Websites specifically ask for your personal information and expressly state who will collect it, how it will be used and disclosed, then the personal information will only be collected, used and disclosed in accordance with those express terms. You will be deemed to have consented to those express terms through the submission of your personal information. If no terms are stated, your personal information will only be collected by Radiotherapy eLearning staff who have responsibility for responding to or administering the information.

Disclosure of personal information


Your personal information will not be disclosed to any third party, added to a mailing list or used for any other purposes without your consent, unless permitted by law.

Security of personal information


Radiotherapy eLearning takes reasonable steps to protect the personal information it holds from misuse and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Whilst Radiotherapy eLearning endeavours to provide a secure environment, you should be aware that there are inherent risks associated with the transmission of information via the internet.

Where personal information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected, Radiotherapy eLearning will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify such personal information.

Any links on the Websites to other sites are provided for convenience only. Radiotherapy eLearning is not responsible for the content and privacy policies of other sites, and recommends that you review each site’s privacy policy.

Access to your personal information


You can request access to your personal information (if any) that we keep on record and we will provide you with access to such personal information, in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.

Accuracy of personal information


Radiotherapy eLearning takes reasonable steps to make sure that the personal information it collects, uses or discloses is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you believe any information that we keep on record is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date you may request that it be corrected. There is no fee for requesting access to your information, however, we may charge you the reasonable administrative costs of processing your request.
