The onTrac@PeterMac psycho-oncology service has a number of healthcare professionals experienced in working with young people and their families to assist manage the challenges that arise following a cancer diagnosis and during its treatment.
These include psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, education advisors music therapists and specialist palliative care providers.

Communication between young people and their healthcare professional is strictly confidential and all team members work under a strict ethical code. We work closely with your health care team and prefer that your oncologist has a general understanding of your concerns and adjustment. However, information is shared with your health care providers only with your permission, and we recognize that there may be times when you prefer to keep specific issues between you and your counsellor.
