- 24/24 medical cover in ICU
- Participation in interactive ward rounds with a focus on education
- ICU Nurses are members of the MET/Code Blue Response Team
- ICU Nurses engaged in ongoing professional development opportunites at multiple levels
- Access to a wealth of oncology expertise and educational resources

Support for Staff:
We encourage and support ongoing professional development through:
- No cost 6 month High Dependency Nursing Course, including structured study days and University of Melbourne accreditation
- Critical Care Course in conjunction with the University of Melbourne, including rotations to St Vincent’s Hospital ICU
- Access to a Certificate in Cancer and Palliative Care Nursing conducted by PeterMac with credit to Postgraduate Diploma through the University of Melbourne
- Rotational placements for Graduate Nurses undertaking the Peter Mac Graduate Year Program
- Fee remission scholarships for nurses undertaking tertiary level studies
