Patient Group: Patients undergoing radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgical interventions and palliative care and symptom management for Head & Neck and Lung Malignancies. |

A multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to patient care, aiming to provide the best possible outcomes for patients, relatives and staff, is our goal. We benefit from
- Full time Nurse Manager
- Part time Practice Development Nurse for our unit
- Management team with experience in cancer nursing
- Excellent multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Team members include: Nurse co-ordinators, social workers, dieticians, occupational therapists, physiotherapist pharmacist and pastoral care.
- Access to a wealth of oncology expertise and educational resources

- Competency based education and training related to cancer specific nursing management.
- Access to short courses through Nursing Education and Research.
- Unit based support from a dedicated Practice Development Nurse.
- Access to a Certificate in Cancer and Palliative Care Nursing conducted by PeterMac with credit to Postgraduate Diploma through the University of Melbourne
- Rotational placements for Graduate Nurses undertaking the Peter Mac Graduate Year Program
