Specialties: Haematology malignancies and Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation
Patient Group: Acute and chronic leukaemias; Multiple Myeloma; lymphomas (Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and Hodgkin's Disease); myeloproliferative and; myelodysplastic disorders. |

- Clinical Nurse Specialists
- Haematology Nurse Coordinators
- Skin Lymphoma Nurse Consultant
- Practice Development Nurse
- Masters, Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate-prepared specialist cancer nurses

The Ward 2 Practice Development Nurse is able to work directly with staff to meet the challenges of working in this dynamic cancer speciality by:
- Developing core haematology nursing knowledge and skills
- Preparing for the role of buddy for new staff
- Preparing for presentations at ward, hospital and conference level
Opportunities exist for participation in specialist haematology education programs, a collaborative nurse led monthly haematology forum, and attendance at national and international conferences. |
