The Public Relations Department oversees communication with internal
and external groups and supports Peter Mac in its profile and relationship
building. The core of the role is to manage relationships with the
media through timely and responsive communication. Public Relations
promotes Peter Mac as its role as Australia's foremost cancer centre.
Public
Relations will:
Liaise
with Department of Human Services as issues arise
Generate
media coverage for events, announcements and when medical spokespersons
are required
Respond
to media enquiries in a timely manner
Advise
on aspects of media for events
Promote
hospital activities on all campuses
Assist
with the preparation of written materials such as newsletters,
Annual Report, Quality Report
Organise
and assist with tours where necessary
Liaise
with various groups in the community for the continued promotion
of Peter Mac; such as schools, Universities etc.
