The Sunshine Hospital Radiation Therapy Centre, a partnership between Western Health and Peter Mac, is located at 176 Furlong Road, St Albans. The centre is located on the main hospital driveway, off Furlong Road.
Our multidisciplinary team of highly skilled radiation oncologists, medical physicists, radiation therapists, palliative care physicians, medical oncologists, nurses, allied health and administrative staff, deliver the highest standard of individualised patient-centred care.
Each of our attending radiation oncologists specialises in specific tumour types and is a member of the appropriate specialist multidisciplinary unit, involved with education and research across Peter Mac and Western Health sites.
We are dedicated to providing seamless patient care through the planning and treatment process. Interpreters are available through Western Health and all of our services are bulk billed.
A cafeteria and a kiosk are located on the ground floor of Sunshine Hospital and both are open to the public. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the Sunshine Hospital Radiation Therapy Centre.
Car parking is available at the hospital for an hourly fee. Please discuss parking rates at your first clinic appointment. Free 10-minute parking is available at the front entrance to the centre. Parking is also available in the car park located next door to the main hospital, and across Furlong Road – fees apply.

Trains: Ginifer Railway Station, on the Sydenham Line, is a ten minute walk from the centre.

Taxis: A telephone booking service is available in the reception of the Sunshine Hospital Radiation Therapy Centre.
Transport services are limited and may not always be available upon request. If you are unable to attend a clinic without transport assistance, please call 03 8345 1157.
Patients are welcome to attend the Sunshine Hospital Radiation Therapy Centre upon referral from their general practitioner (GP) or specialist. All new patient referrals are reviewed and triaged within 48 hours by a tumour stream specialist, who will determine the most appropriate clinical team to assess the patient’s needs.
Please ensure the following relevant investigations are included in the referral: pathology reports, operative notes, diagnostic imaging and reports.
Referrals may be addressed to the SHRTC site director (below), or to the appropriate tumour stream specialist.
