The first Australian p53 workshop

The first Australian p53 workshop - Research at Peter Mac

The powerful tumour suppressor protein, p53, has been at the core of cancer biology for over three decades. Research interests in p53 span from basic molecular studies, through to translational and clinical applications. Recent developments in the p53 field have extended our knowledge of p53 function beyond its vital role as a stress response protein, to involvement in key physiological systems.

The first Australian p53 workshop at Peter Mac aims to establish a unified p53 community in Australia and to map the major p53 interests of related groups. This workshop will feature selected eminent international and national clinicians and researchers, students and postdoctoral researchers, and representatives from industry.
