Student Internships & Work Experience - Research at Peter Mac

Each year we host students from a variety of universities and courses who come to Peter Mac to undertake work experience or research internship placements. In recent years we have welcomed international students from countries such as Holland, Germany, Denmark, USA, and many local undergraduate and TAFE students.

Local and international students undertaking internships work on a specific project along side other students, post doctoral scientists and senior researchers in the laboratory. During this project, they gain experience in laboratory research, use state of the art equipment and also learn many new and exciting laboratory techniques. Students also have many opportunities to attend scientific meetings and presentations and are very much part of the research team. International students undertaking research placements will be required to obtain a Visa for this period. We will provide advice and assist the student in this Visa process.
