Denise has worked in the field of cancer nursing for many years in both inpatient and ambulatory care, prior to taking up in a teaching role. Most recently Denise has managed the nursing education department and the Education Centre at Peter Mac. Denise oversees the department’s work and co-ordinates the Nurse Visitor Program and specific projects.

Cathie brings to Nursing Education her recent experience in exploring nurses’ learning needs about cancer care and the facilitation of cancer educational resources for all nurses through both her 4 year role initially as Nurse Researcher and then Manager for the National Cancer Nursing Education (EdCaN) Project, as well as teaching experience as an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Melbourne Graduate Diploma in Clinical Nursing (Cancer and Palliative Care), the Masters of Nursing, and the Peter Mac Certificate in Cancer Nursing.

Tracey commenced at Peter Mac in 1990 and has undertaken many roles within the organisation, including: ANUM, NUM, After hours patient coordination, Ambulatory care project work, and more recently as the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Nursing clinical placements and Short course programs.

Michelle has over 10 years experience in the oncology field and is currently the Coordinator of the Graduate Year Program at Peter Mac following 5 years in the Graduate Support Nurse role in the Department of Nursing Education. In addition Michelle provides sessional lectures for the Short Course program.

Antonela is currently working in both nursing education and in clinical practice. Her cancer knowledge and skills are broad but she also has subspecialty expertise in adolescents and young adults and sarcoma. Antonela provides teaching sessions within the Short Course Program, has taken a lead role in reviewing medication management issues, nurse initiated medicines and enrolled nurse medication capable development.
