Women with all types and stages of gynaecologic cancer, including those with uncommon or complex presentations are referred to the Peter Mac Gynaecology Stream. Specialised radiation, medical oncology and oncologic imaging and pathology staff, together with the surgeons from the three major gynaecology oncology units, work closely together to form a state based multidisciplinary gynaecologic cancer service.

Regular multidisciplinary tumour board meetings and clinics are conducted to assure the best cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery pathways are available. Our medical oncology staff provide leading edge management including the development and conduct of chemotherapy and chemoradiation cancer trials. Patient care, including surgery, is coordinated by our dedicated Oncology Nurse Co-ordinator. Supportive, psychologic, rehabilitative including lymphoedema management, pain management and palliative care services are available to all patients as required. State-of-the-art image based radiotherapy services include our world leading ultrasound and 3D MRI brachytherapy treatments.
