Our commitment to Diversity and Aboriginal health:

Peter Mac values diversity and believes that consumers and staff have the right to fair and equal treatment.

It is important that Peter Mac works to engage with consumers and staff on issues relating to diversity to ensure that the care and services are equitable, accessible and valued by all.

What is Diversity?

  • Recognising and valuing differences in its broadest sense
  • It is about creating a culture and practices that recognise, respect, value and harness difference
  • Benefiting patients, carers, members of the public and members of staff
  • Creating a fairer society where everyone can participate and has the opportunity to fulfill their potential

Why is Diversity important?

Diversity has been a prominent feature of the Australian population for many decades. Australians coming from more that 200 different ancestries and speaking more than 300 different languages at home.
